Plithos was founded in mid 2009 and became the instrument upon which Lagousakos evolved his fluid and emotional choreographic style that he developed during his experience as a mass choreographer. The company defined it’s expressive approach by a yet drastic evolution that manifests in Lagousakos’  ’’non solo…’’ series .

The company also experiments an unpretentious approach to new technology – incorporating animation, digital film, 3D architecture, electronic sound and virtual dancers into the live choreography.

Plithos was born out of a nessecity to go deeper into a more personal research of the choreographer and his dancers. Working on either individual or global issues is a process that  involves, divides, questions, worries and shares feelings and experiences between the creator, his performers, video artist, other colaborators,  and of course the audience.

Keeping an honest artistic vision, being faithful to who they really are, keeping it ‘simple’ as they like to say, but also innovative in how the body moves, speaks, comunicates is a guide line with which the members of PLITHOS have decided to tell the story, the words, the feelings.

By trusting the universal language of body and it’s numerous ways of moving, dance becomes the transport of a journey that never ends.
